Attorney Profile

For that past nine years, I have worked as a criminal defense attorney in San Mateo County where I practice in the areas of adult criminal defense, juvenile criminal defense, and criminal and civil restraining orders. Previously, I worked for the Federal Public Defenders in San Francisco, San Francisco County Public Defenders (as a branch of the University of San Francisco Criminal Clinic), and Contra Costa County Public Defender.

I practice in adult and juvenile criminal law. My commitment to criminal defense work began in law school where I interned at various courts throughout the bay area. I worked for the Federal Public Defenders in San Francisco, San Francisco County Public Defenders (as a branch of the University of San Francisco Criminal Clinic), and Contra Costa County Public Defender. For the past five years, I have worked as a criminal defense attorney in San Mateo County where I live and work.

I am a lifetime resident of San Mateo County. I grew up here and consider myself a member of the community. My position as a criminal defense attorney allows me to help my community and my neighbors. As a child of immigrant parents, I understand the difficulties a language barrier can represent when a criminal matter is involved and my ability to speak Spanish fluently is an asset to my profession and an effective tool for the Hispanic members of the community I represent.
